Cat made this picture of me in my wedding dress. I am really impressed on how accurate the dress style is! I showed the jacket but only described the rest in this video. Thanks Cat! I love it. Speaking of the dress, everything is going really well and I am in love with what I have so far! I cannot wait till it is finished though…I would like to be able to sleep at night again:)

Art Carved Bridal’s Jewelry CONTEST!
Art Carved is a wedding ring company that has been around for over 160 years (quite a feat!) and pioneered the two ring ceremony. Before World War II only women would wear a wedding ring but when the war started, Art Carved pushed for men in the armed forces (they were traditionally only allowed to wear dog-tags) to be able to wear a wedding band to reminded of their love back at home. I just heart that story so fricken much! They are also super dedicated to the process that goes into each ring. Each one is made by hand by a master jewelry artisan and given so much love that they are truly special.
They recently learned about Rob and I’s upcoming wedding and fell in love with the story behind the engagement ring Rob gave me. The diamond belonged to Rob’s grandma and was passed down to Rob’s dad who gave it to Rob’s mom. Rob’s mom passed away from cancer about 7 years ago so having this diamond is super special to me. He had it re-set in a tulip shaped setting (I LOVE flowers!) from a seller on Etsy and I am absolutely obsessed with it. I look at it all the time:)
Art Carved decided to bring us to Las Vegas last weekend for a jewelry convention called JCK to talk with people about the latest trends in wedding rings, tips for guys who are thinking about popping the big question and some of their favorite engagement stories. We filmed everything and will be sharing the video next week. There are some amazing and hilarious stories that we heard so it is going to be a good one. We also just found out that they loved us so much that they decided to give Rob and I our wedding bands! I am so grateful to them. It really is a dream come true! Rob and I are paying for the wedding ourselves so this is amazing news.
Anywho, on to the contest! I really wanted to let you in on the contest they are having right now because it ends on Monday and my video won’t be out by then. They are giving away a pearl jewelry set valued at $2000 in exchange for help naming 3 of their new rings. I read somewhere recently that pearls are all the rage to give as bridemaids’ gifts.
